Tyler is awesome! He was very good at responding and quickly. I must have text him a hundred times with tons of questions. He was very patient, kind and honest in his responses. He was very knowledgeable about different areas and gave me the pros and cons even if it turned me in a different direction. It was clear that he wanted us to be informed and happy with our purchase. He was extremely helpful and I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for someone to represent their interests in a real estate transaction. I have purchased many properties on the Mainland, but I recently purchased my first property on the Big Island of Hawaii and simply could NOT have done it without Tyler. I am located in Arizona and was able to do everything remotely thanks to Tyler. He was a great resource for all things Hawaii and was able to thoroughly answer all the questions I had. He provided resources, contacts, and was always available for a call or text. Tyler was able to negotiate nearly $100,000 off the listing price and $24,000 in seller concessions which I used for closing costs and rate buy down. Not only are his negotiating skills top notch, Tyler structured the contract in such a way that literally saved the deal from falling through on multiple occasions. The entire purchasing process took almost three months and Tyler was there every step of the way. He made me feel as if I was his most important client and was always there when I needed him. His patience, persistence, and kind demeanor are second to none. A few years ago, with my retirement from the military approaching, my wife and I began toying with the idea of either buying or building a home in Hawaii. We combed through tons of listings, but it was tough to find the right property with things like lava zones, unpermitted homes, or building restrictions to consider. We reached out a few times for more information on properties listed on Zillow or Realtor, and we were connected with different agents each time. Tyler was one of those agents. Unfortunately, the property we were inquiring about had already sold, so we decided to take a break from our search. About 4 months ago, we decided we were ready to try again. I had lost Tyler’s contact info, so Zillow connected us with another agent who seemed knowledgeable about real estate in the area, but also seemed unengaged. He was slow to respond and showed little interest in actually helping us find a home. Our loan officer connected us with another real estate agent who seemed helpful at first, but she was very reluctant to show one of the properties that we were interested in. She told us it was because the listing agent was not offering the buyers agent a high enough commission, so she wouldn’t make as much money on that deal. She very reluctantly did a showing anyway, and we decided we wanted to make an offer. She agreed, but called back 10 minutes later to tell us that she wasn’t interested in writing the contract because of the low commission. By chance or diligence, Tyler happened to reach out to me right around the same time. We were very upfront with Tyler and told him that we have a house in mind, but, according to the last agent, his commission may not be great. Tyler was AWESOME and didn’t hesitate to write up our offer. I don't throw out accolades easily, but it is totally deserved! Tyler was friendly, knowledgeable, always available (despite a 6 hour time difference), responded to our questions thoroughly, and was a consummate professional. We highly recommend him for anyone looking to buy or sell.
